Coincheck Group plans to list on the Nasdaq in July 2023.

Coincheck, a major Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, stated on Friday that it aims to list on Nasdaq on July 2, 2023, through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Thunder Bridge Capital Partners IV.

Coincheck stated that its ambitions to pursue a public stock offering in the United States via Nasdaq would provide the company with access to the country's lucrative capital markets.

Coincheck, a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, has confirmed plans to pursue a public stock offering in the United States via Nasdaq, giving the company access to the country's lucrative capital markets.

Coincheck Business Update

Coincheck provided an update on its business. Initially, it expanded its dominance in Japan by slowly accumulating customers despite the weak crypto asset market.

The exchange subsequently stated that its NFT business revenue for the quarter was $160 million due to NFT market headwinds.

Coincheck also wanted to establish and expand its digital economic world with an eye on Web3, collaborating with appealing producers and artists to create revenue prospects such as sales of exclusive NFTs, tenant fees for land in the metaverse, and growing the Coincheck NFT user base.

Coincheck promotes firms related to crypto assets and NFTs that are spearheading the adoption of Web3 in addition to Coincheck Labs, the blockchain, and the Web3 ecosystem.

The exchange also identified several significant growth prospects that can be explored organically and accelerated through M&A or collaborations.

Coincheck and Hunder Bridge Capital Partners are Merging.

According to the exchange, the move will allow it to expand its crypto asset company by acquiring access to US capital markets, gaining exposure to global investors, and recruiting personnel to accomplish its growth goal. Monex Group, Coincheck's primary owner, declared in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing.

In March of this year, Coincheck declared its intention to go public. Its merger with Thunder Bridge Capital was valued at $1.25 billion at the time.

SPACs were the hottest way for crypto firms to go public in 2020 and 2021, but the craze has died down this year due to an overall market slowdown and new Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) restrictions.

Since June of this year, the SEC has been more careful about the general SPAC process, particularly crypto-related agreements, to improve investor safety.

Since July of last year, Circle Internet Financial, the backer of the "stablecoin" USD Coin, has been attempting to go public with a SPAC called Concord Acquisition (CND).

Coincheck controls 27% of Japan's Cryptocurrency market.

Coincheck has 1.75 million confirmed accounts, accounting for 27% of Japan's crypto trading market share, according to financial statistics. However, the company observed a drop in trade volume as a result of the cryptocurrency bear market. Quarter over quarter, total operational revenues fell by approximately half.

Several crypto-related companies have expressed an interest in going public via SPAC agreements. PrimeBlock, a Bitcoin (BTC) mining startup, announced in April that it would go public via a $1.25 billion SPAC. W3BCloud, a blockchain cloud infrastructure provider, announced a comparable price tag for its SPAC merger in August. eToro, a stock and cryptocurrency exchange, had planned a $10 billion merger before canceling the agreement over the summer.

Conclusion

A crypto/SPAC merger is also in the works between eToro Group, an Israeli online brokerage, and FinTech Acquisition Corp. Therefore, V (FTCV), a SPAC backed by veteran financier Betsy Cohen. The merger was called off in early July after the companies were unable to complete the transaction by the June 30 deadline. One of the reasons the deal failed was a failure to obtain SEC permission.

Binance’s CEO has Confirmed Investing in Musk’s Takeover of Twitter as an Equity Investor

As part of Elon Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter (TWTR), Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume, announced it had invested $500 million. This modest but significant action sparked rumors that the social media company might one day run on blockchain technology.

Musk Successfully Takes Over Twitter.

Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter late on Thursday, gleefully tweeting, "The bird is liberated," and promptly removing several top executives from their positions. After months of public and legal battles over the sale, this finally happened. Early sources state that the new owner has already drastically lowered Twitter's c-suit. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and top attorney Vijaya Gadde, who played a key role in the decision to block former President Donald Trump's account on the social media network in January 2021, are reportedly among the departing staff. Although it might only be a temporary post, Musk will take over as CEO, according to a source who talked with Bloomberg.

As per the reports, his next step would be to reinstate Twitter users who have received lifetime bans from the platform, including Trump.

Before finalizing the acquisition, Musk indicated that securing the "future of civilization" was his main driving force in buying Twitter.

Instead of dividing into "far right-wing and far left-wing echo chambers," Musk says the objective is to maintain a "common digital town square," where individuals of diverse viewpoints may discuss on their points of view without resorting to violence.

Other objectives include combating Twitter spam bots, which might be done by putting blockchain-based solutions in place.

Bot spam is particularly common in the cryptocurrency world, where con artists frequently use false identities to entice investors by impersonating influencers and other well-known people, including Elon Musk.

Binance Founder Expressed His Excitement about Working Together with Musk

Binance revealed on Friday that it has invested in Twitter's acquisition by billionaire internet entrepreneur Elon Musk as an equity investor (TWTR).

The founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, expressed his excitement in an email, "We're thrilled to be able to support Elon in realizing a new vision for Twitter. We want to help social media and Web3 work together to increase the use and adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency." A team from Binance is reportedly being formed to think of ways that blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies can help Twitter.

In a tweet, Zhao claimed that Binance had sent $500 million as part of the transaction two days prior. CoinDesk's request for comment from Twitter did not immediately receive a response.

A few Twitter executives were reportedly taken to the door as Musk closed the transaction on Oct. 27. The new owner of the social media platform then purportedly cleaned house. In May 2022, according to a statement made by Binance, it will invest alongside 18 other investors in Twitter, including major cryptocurrency investment firms Sequoia Capital Fund, Fidelity Management, and Research Company.

The founder of Binance said on October 28 that the company had placed money on the table as Musk completed his acquisition of Twitter. To check that the business had wired the monies earlier in the week, CZ used the newly acquired platform.

Conclusion

Zhao clarified that he was not personally involved in the transaction and quipped that he thought the transfer had been made using traditional banking methods rather than a blockchain or cryptocurrency transaction in response to a user on the Twitter thread who wrote "CZ" now owns part of Twitter: "We are small potatoes, just a tiny bit." Zhao responded to other comments, clarifying that he was not personally involved in the transaction.

Learn why retail investors have been losing a lot of money and what are the two reasons

Learn why retail investors have been losing a lot of money and what are the two reasons

The crypto market is highly volatile and thus is more susceptible to changes now and then. However, for retail investors to be on the safe side it is important to gather knowledge on the way the market works to safeguard oneself from any unforeseen losses. Gathering adequate information is the most effective protection against a fluctuating market.

Instead of conducting a short search on Twitter, every digital network trading club, or trying to invest on Reddit, an individual might quickly identify several investors who may have significantly excelled well over a month, a season, or possibly an entire year. The very minimum of investigation that one must always carry out is a search. The bulk of rich market players cherry-pick several periods or operate many assets at the same period. This helps them ensure that there is always a comfortable lead to represent.

How has trading been affected widely?

On the other hand, thousands of traders realize that their investments have been effectively wiped out again, and they withdraw their money, leaving them with nothing. This is particularly the case when they use power and influence. Take a look at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which operates in the United Kingdom as an example. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) mandates that dealers disclose the percentage of their customers located within the jurisdiction who have been trading alternatives at a loss. According to the data that is currently available, around 69 to 84 percent of frequent participants end up losing money as a direct consequence of the situation.

The United States Financial Industry Regulatory Authority issued a judgment of $70 million to Robinhood in June 2021. The authority claimed that Robinhood must have caused "widespread and significant hardship" to its customers and provided "inaccurate information onto numbers of its members." The judgment was issued to Robinhood beginning in September 2016, and it was finalized in June 2021. In particular, the watchdog pointed to the network outage that occurred during 2018 and 2018, which hampered customers' abilities to carry out buy and sell transactions at times of significant economic unpredictability.

Take a look at the trends in the market

Markets are commonly used by those who engage in such exploitation to supplement the vast quantities of cash that they already possess by bringing in additional money. Because they possess these features, traders can place contracts without any recourse, which is somewhat comparable to acquiring creditworthiness; as a consequence, businesses have merely a noticeable edge over established in the market.

Conclusion

Because of the complex interaction between exchangers, individual investors, trading platforms, and whales, professional investors truly need to understand that there is no room in the economy for newcomers to participate in any way, shape, or form. Having a trade that is advantageous to both parties means that even these businesses have an easier time gaining favorable access to preliminary initial offerings, listings, or economic integration; this is the case regardless of whether or not a formal partnership is documented in writing. The only option for shareholders to protect themselves against incurring a loss is for them to completely forego investing and even steer clear of any kind of influence trading that can incur costs. Speculators who invest within a time frame of six weeks or longer give a better possibility of making a profit from each one of their holdings. This is the case regardless of the asset class.

ETC Group To Bring New ETP For Upcoming Ethereum Hard Fork

ETC Group To Bring New ETP For Upcoming Ethereum Hard Fork

ETC Group has participated with a series of entities that have announced goals to support a potential proof of work (PoW) version of the Ethereum network.

The upgraded chain, should it finally appear following the network’s switch to a proof-of-stake (PoS) system, was earlier called ETHPoW and now it doesn’t exist.

All About ETP :

Though, the London-based crypto firm ETC Group aims to write down a new list of exchange-traded products (ETP). That is based on the native asset of the ETHPoW chain. It is issuing holders of its existing Ethereum ETP (ZETH) units of the new security at zero cost on a 1:1 unit basis.

This new ETP will be known as ETC Group Physical EthereumPoW (ETHWetc). It will be registered on Deutsche Borse’s Xetra under ticker ZETW, which is based on the imminent hard fork of Ethereum. The firm said that the official listing is expected to be held on September 16 this year which is shortly after the Beacon merge event.

What Is ETP?

An ETP is a kind of security. An ETP can be traded on a stock exchange. It must include its value tracking underlying security. For instance, an Ethereum ETP tracks the price of Ethereum. During that process, it allows investors to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency without the requirement to physically hold the asset.

The founder and co-CEO of ETC Group, Bradley Duke, noted in a statement, “When we launched ETC Group, we determined to holders of our digital asset-backed securities that the holders would profit from hard forks to the underlying digital assets and cryptocurrencies." He further added, "We believe that it is the only right that investors in our products and services should receive the profit of this fork."

Already Existed Token :

The Ethereum merge was resisted

Last month. A gang of crypto miners backed by Chinese entrepreneur Chandler Guo introduced a campaign to resist Ethereum’s upcoming transition to PoS by forking the network and developing an alternate form of Ethereum minable via the proof-of-work (PoW) mechanism.

Mainly, a version of the ETHPoW (ETHW) token is denoting a debt relationship between two parties. The token is already traded on multiple crypto exchanges such as Poloniex, MEXC,Gate.io, and Digifinex.

The largest crypto exchange in America, Coinbase recently stated that it will consider listing ETHW or other forked Ethereum tokens following the merge. But Binance did not abandon the possibility of eventually listing ETHW either.

On the other hand, the largest non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, OpenSea, said that any Ethereum forks will not be available on the platform. The platform is committed to only supporting NFTs on the upgraded Ethereum PoS chain.

At the beginning of August, A version of ETHW touched $141 amid an initial round of buzz in the spotlight. However, it has dropped heavily since then. The token has decreased 17.35% over the past 24 hours. It is now trading at $39.

Notably, Ethereum fell 7% recently. The token currently sits nearly at $1,544.

Conclusion :

Mentionable, the Ethereum merge is now the most anticipated upgrade in the market. It is about to launch between September 13 to 15.  The merge is promised to enhance the main nets' performance through the PoS consensus mechanism. While the BTC is still running at the PoW mechanism. But the second top currency, ETH, believes to be more advanced in this competitive market. The upgrade will increase the transaction speed and reduce the fees. It will be a less energy-consuming service. The stakers are going to get a massive opportunity through this merger. Investors are getting their way back through this upgrade.

dYdX’s decision to discontinue the viral ad campaign

dYdX’s decision to discontinue the viral ad campaign

dYdX has decided to stop its controversial promotion, citing "overwhelming demand." The swift cancellation is a response to the significant backlash received from the community in response to the demand for a face recognition scan to be eligible for the deposit bonus.

What exactly is dYdX?

At this time, dYdX is the preeminent leader among decentralized exchanges that offer everlasting trading. Users can trade directly with one another on the dYdX platform, which is powered by smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

dYdX is a non-custodial and decentralized platform for margin trading that offers synthetic exposure to crypto assets. On top of the fundamental assets, known as ERC-20 tokens, perpetual contracts are constructed. As a consequence of this, dYdX makes it possible to create new asset classes, the value of which is derived from the assets that are underpinning them.

An Overview of dYdX

dYdX is a decentralized exchange that was constructed on the Ethereum network. It provides users with essential financial instruments such as perpetual, margin trading, spot trading, and lending and borrowing capabilities. dYdX provides traders with off-chain order books that are settled on the blockchain. It also gives traders the ability to short-sell tokens, expand their exposure by longing with leverage, or collect interest on deposited tokens so that they can move rapidly. dYdX makes use of StarkWare's Layer 2 to do away with the need for trading while trusting a centralized exchange. As a result, it combines the security and transparency of a decentralized exchange with the speed and use of a centralized exchange.

The controversial campaign

The decentralized cryptocurrency derivatives exchange dYdX has announced that it has discontinued its controversial $25 initial deposit bonus promotion. This comes in the wake of a wave of criticism directed against the exchange's insistence that new members provide face recognition.

The exchange, on the other hand, only said that "overwhelming demand" was the basis for the short-lived promotional campaign, which was terminated on Thursday "effective immediately." The promotion in question went live on Wednesday, and it promised new customers a bonus of $25 if they deposited at least $500 into the platform.

The only catch was that they had to agree to undergo a "liveness check" via webcam to authenticate their identity, which caused several members of the community to feel uncomfortable. After what was supposedly enrolling thousands of new customers, dYdX announced that it will halt the promotion "due to highly overwhelming demand." This was around 24 hours after the first announcement.

The underestimated popularity of the ad campaign

The group that is responsible for the DEX did not specify how long the promotional effort would run when the first announcement was made; however, they did admit that they did not have any idea about the attention that the campaign will receive.

Notably, dYdX did not address the backlash from the community in its most recent tweet; however, in an earlier post, the company defended its utilization of the facial recognition software by stating that it was only used to verify that users were not creating multiple accounts to qualify for the bonus.

Final Thoughts

Some members of the community don't buy it, with some assuming that the cancellation was mostly the consequence of the disagreement, while other members have voiced issues with the platform's use of such technologies in the first place. Adam Cochran, a contributor to Yearn. finance tweeted to his 153,100 followers that he will be leaving the platform and selling his DYDX tokens until he sees "meaningful changes there:" even though he has been a major advocate for dYdX in the past, Cochran stated that he will be leaving the platform.
